A tense World lawsuit II stand-in plays out in Nazi-occupied France and in the stomach of a cramped German submarine in the classified ad for Hulus adjustment of Das Boot. The perform premiered on German TV last year and will arrive upon Hulu June 17th.
The eight-episode series is based on Lothar-Gnther Buchheims 1973 book of the same name, even though it along with incorporates elements from his 1995 sequel Die Festung. Wolfgang Petersen past adapted Das Boot into a movie in 1981.
The action is set in the harbor of La Rochelle, France in 1942 where Simone Strasser (Vicky Krieps), a French woman working as a translator for the Nazis, finds her allegiances tested later than her brother, Frank (Leonard Schleicher), leads her into a hub of resistance fighters. Complicating matters, Frank, a radio operator, is sent upon a German submarine mission and the tensions in the already near house build up gone the ablaze of the crew start to suspect hes feeding opinion to the enemy.
Das Boot boasts an all-star international cast that in addition to includes Lizzy Caplan, James DArcy, Vincent Kartheiser, Rainer Bock, Rick Okon, Robert Stadlober, Thierry Frmont and August Wittgenstein.
